Three happy days ... (and some other July days)

Happy Day 1:

Miss Vickey called Wolf to let him know she found some salamander eggs under a basketball hoop that was moved at her house. Wolf packed up his gear and was VERY excited to find they were snake eggs.

We kept them in the bug holder for a couple weeks outside under a bush. One day when he went to check on them he discovered two lizards, although he was a little sad only two of the fifteen eggs made it - it was still exciting.

As he tipped the holder over to dump them out we were surprised to find that all the other lizards were hiding in the dirt. The kids went crazy with excitement!

Happy Day 2:

Wolf's pea pod plant sprouted two peas large enough to eat.

Happy Day 3:

When planting flowers they found more eggs...still waiting to see what these will be. I have to say I was very relieved when the last batch turned out to be lizards and not snakes.

Other July days ... still happy, just not as exciting

The kids decorated their bikes for the Fourth of July neighborhood parade.

I don't think they heard me correctly when I said "go take Deeter for a walk."

Daddy is officially old!

Crazy.

The other morning I heard them upstairs reading books to each other. I would like to say they are this cute 100% of the time, I'd say more like 60/40...which is not bad.
