Post-Turkeyday

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!

Wolf's school put on a very cute Thanksgiving program with the 1st graders. Wolf was voted by his class to be the turkey...the trick was getting very low to the ground while he gobbled.

As you can see, he was not in the best of mood that day.

Mike had to work yesterday, but it was an adjusted schedule so he was home by 3:30...just in time to eat but not help cook. The weather was so beautiful and warm that the kids and I went for a walk and I ended up dropping them off at our neighbors house for 2 hours - all the kids were playing outside.
Here is the American Test Kitchen apple pie, the kids wanted to draw upstairs so they didn't end up helping at all. It was quite tasty.
Before dinner Mike and the kids made a fire in the pit. Got rid of a few more leaves.

Dinner is ready. I cooked the turkey breast in the slow cooker with a can of whole cranberry sauce and spices, turned out really moist.

In the future, I'm always going to do the half/half.
This is one of the rare moments when the kids are super sweet to each other.
